![]() ![]() I've been keeping a close eye on any information about Dambuster's next game project, and this includes THQN's financial records, developer resumes, voice actor credits on British voice actor talent sites, and stuff like that. Also because actors with Dead Island 2 on their list of roles always credit Dambuster's mocap direction people. I believe that they're handling the motion/performance capture stuff because they have a fairly high end capture studio and they're in the same city as one of Sumo's branches. It is highly unlikely it bears any resemblance to Yager's.Īdditionally, Dambuster Studios appear to be providing assistance on the project, in addition to working on their own game. We know nothing about Sumo Digital's version of Dead Island. AAA games typically take 3-4 years to make, so we'll either see the project at E3, Gamescom, or E3 next year. In 2016, Dead Island 2 was rebooted at Sumo Digital, and has been in development since. However, Deep Silver and Yager had disagreements over the project, and Yager were taken off the project. It was revealed at Sony's conference in 2014, aiming for a 2015 release date. It's just that I think a lot of people lost track of what Dead Island 2 actaully is. Its development cycle isn't exactly some mystery.
